Met Society members are at the core of our mission. They are the first audience for our public-facing research, our fun and informative events and our media services, whether online, printed, audio or visual. Our members are our primary source of support and our most critical served group. We are always looking to expand our membership, both here in the United States and abroad.
Our membership is drawn from among forward-thinking young professionals across all industries, who have a potent interest in and commitment to the future role of the United States in the world, its dedication to its goals, and the preservation of democracy domestically and abroad. With our members, we are intent on redeveloping a strong foundation of civic engagement and civic virtue in United States public life that has suffered somewhat in the post Cold War period, and been challenged by dizzying changes in the media landscape
Levels and Benefits of Membership
At present, the Met Society offers three levels of membership for individuals: Subscribing Members, Sustaining Members and Founding Members
Subscribing Membership is our standard level of membership. It includes access to all our written, audio and video materials, and reduced pricing on our printed books and policy research works. It also includes ticketing to all standard ticketed events during the year of membership, like our foreign affairs pub quizzes and research symposia, as well as discounted ticketing on premium events, like special guest speakers and our annual gala.
Subscribing Membership is $35 / year
Sustaining Membership is a more complete level of membership, for individuals who want to be deeply engaged with the debate and choices and decisions of United States Foreign Policy now and in the future. Sustaining members receive complete access to all our media in all formats, as well as tickets to all our public programming, and special events only for sustaining members
Sustaining Membership is $125 / year
Founding Membership is for those individuals who wish to support the work of the Met Society much more deeply, and remain engaged and involved with individuals creating and exploring new ideas in US Foreign Policy. Founding members are invited to all our events, including off-the-record conversations with policymakers, respected analysts and academics.
Founding Membership is $300 / year
The Metropolitan Society for International Affairs is a 501c3 non profit organization. All membership fees and donations to the Met Society are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
